The Salt Lake County sheriff's office said a gunman robbed a grocery store early Saturday morning and fled with an undetermined amount of cash.

The man entered Smith's Food King, 845 E. 45th South, at about 3 a.m., exhibited a handgun and threatened to kill the female cashier if she would not cooperate. The man then fled with a bag full of money, a report said.Witnesses described the gunman as Caucasian, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds with long brown wavy hair and several tatoos on his arms. He was wearing a T-shirt with "Harley Davidson of Memphis, Tennessee" written on it.
