A day of activity, information and fellowship - focusing on recreation for disabled people - is scheduled May 13 by the University of Utah's Rehabilitation Center's Recreation Therapy Department.

The first annual Wheelchair Sports Clinic and Recreation Fair will be held at the tennis courts adjacent to the residence halls on the U. campus. A wheelchair tennis clinic, taught by a disabled player, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Able-bodied players will join players in wheelchairs for a softball game at 2:30 p.m.Participants will be introduced to summer sports, exercise programs, sports medicine, adaptive equipment and available lessons during a rec-reation fair from 12:30-2:30 p.m. A barbecue at 5 p.m. will feature drawings for prizes donated by local pro shops and sporting goods stores.
