Bonneville Exchange Club has honored six local high school students for outstanding accomplishments.

The students are Michele Quinn and Jeffrey Anderson, Olympus High School; Chad Rappleye and LaRayne Sargent, Brighton; Emilie de Azevedo and Christopher Ballard, Cottonwood.Quinn has participated in student government, concert choir and National Charity League. She is a member of the National Honor Society.

Anderson is first in his class academically, excelling in math and chemistry. He is a member of the school's football and track teams and vice president of the Olympus chapter of the National Honor Society.

Rappleye is Brighton's math Sterling Scholar, a member of the National Honor Society, first in his class and a National Merit finalist. He participates in cross country running and tennis.

Sargent is student body vice president and a member of Sen. Orrin Hatches' Youth Advisory Committee. She was a Freedom Academy delegate and has performed community service.

De Azevedois is a speech and drama Sterling Scholar and has been in regional and state speech, drama and vocal competitions. She is a member of the National Honor Society and International Thespian Society.

Ballard is an accomplished pianist and participates in vocal groups. He has served in student government and in drama and other clubs. He has been on track and football teams and also was a member of Hatches' advisory committee.
