The BYU and Utah baseball teams host a pair of contenders for the WAC regular-season title this weekend.

The Cougars, 18-5 and 40-12, meet third-place San Diego State, 12-6 and 31-20, Saturday at 1 p.m. in a doubleheader. Utah, 8-15 and 15-29, takes on second-place Hawaii, 15-5 and 33-19. The Utes and Rainbows will play a doubleheader at noon. Both teams also played twinbills against the same opponents today. The Cougars, who have only this series and a May 10 date against Utah left on their regular-season schedule, can virtually wrap up the conference title with a sweep. Since Hawaii and San Diego State must play one another in a four-game series next week, they will likely keep each other out of contention - if they're still in contention by then.

Meanwhile, the Utes will be playing strictly to mess things up for Hawaii, which goes into the series 1 1/2 games out of first place. San Diego State enters the series 3 1/2 games back of the Cougars.
