Fusion researchers B. Stanley Pons and Martin Fleisch-mann won't be meeting with key congressional leaders May 12-13 as orig-inally planned.

Rep. Robert Roe, D-N.J., chairman of the House Science Committee, called off the congressional junket to Utah.Roe told Rep. Wayne Owens, D-Utah, that he was too busy fighting for appropriations for his committee to leave Washington for a day. With Roe unavailable, the entire congressional trip was postponed indefinitely.

A meeting with John Sununu, White House chief of staff, was postponed Thursday, after the two had flown to Washington from Salt Lake City. But Sununu's office is trying to reschedule it for next week.
