A mystery/comedy opens at Valley Center Playhouse on Friday.

"Lights Out" will be performed Friday, Saturday and Monday evenings at 8 through May 29.Nola Smith is directing the show, which has Darcia Pinette and Gail Hellman double-cast in the role of Agnes, who has invited guests to a party at the mansion she inherited from her uncle.

Lisa Lund plays Agnes' daughter, and Bob DeFendi plays a detective-story writer in love with her. Others in the cast are Bill Brown, Cynthia Sorensen, Joe Sorensen, Marie Miller, John Carter, Nancy Davidson, Larry Gulander and Rachelle Losee. Tawni Bristol is assistant director.

The theater is at 780 N. Second East in Lindon. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Prices are $4 general admission, $3.50 for students and senior citizens, and $15 for a family. For reservations and group discounts, call 785-1186.
