Three new members of the management team of the Salt Lake Hilton Hotel have been appointed by Harold W. Milner, president and chief executive officer of the Kahler Corp., the Rochester, Minn., company that owns 50 percent of the hotel.
Mark Wren is general manager; Larry Jackstien is director of sales and marketing; and Graham Jones is director of food and beverage.A native of Nashville, Tenn., Wren has 19 years experience in the hotel business with his most recent job as general manager of the Sheraton Century Hotel, Atlanta, Ga. He has been general manager of the Snow King Resort in Jackson, Wyo., and also managed Americana hotels in Toledo, Ohio, and Ocho Riose, Jamaica.
Jackstien is a Salt Lake native and was vice president of marketing for the Hotel Utah and Westin Hotel Utah for 11 years before taking a similar position at Deer Valley Ski Resort in Park City. Prior to joining the Hilton, he was vice president of marketing for Fotheringham and Associates, a Salt Lake advertising and public relations company.
A native of England, Jones was a food and beverage manager with several London hostelries including the famous Royal Garden Hotel, a five-star property. Before his Hilton job, he was banquet and convention service manager for Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City for two years and also has operated his own restaurant.
