John Clark and his daughter, Lorin, are still being treated in area hospitals for injuries suffered in the deadly fire that blazed through their home Friday, killing a son and family friend.
A Holy Cross Hospital spokeswoman said Clark, 40, was in fair condition Tuesday and making good progress. Among other injuries, he suffered a shoulder fracture while rescuing his 7-month-old son from the blaze.Lorin Clark, 6, is at University Hospital being treated for second- and third-degree burns over one-third of her body. She remained in critical condition Tuesday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Four-year-old Elliott Clark and 14-year-old Heather Sheehan, a family friend, were killed in the fire. Clark's wife, Carol, two neighbors and a firefighter were treated for minor injuries.
The blaze caused an estimated $300,000 damage to the home. The fire is believed to have ignited in the kitchen.
