Columbia Records' Jazz Masterpiece Series, which shipped its ninth batch of reissues to stores in late March, has sold more than 2 million copies of the first 75 digitally remastered recordings since the series debuted in January 1987.

The latest offerings, eight previous recordings plus a two-album anthology, includes works by Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday and the first Columbia reissues of J.J. Johnson, Bessie Smith, and Lambert, Hendricks and Ross.
