A weak storm system should bring light rain to northern Utah mountains Monday and Tuesday, the National Weather Service says.
But William J. Alder, meteorologist in charge of the Salt Lake office, said the rain will bring only minimal amounts of water. The rest of the week looks dry and mild throughout the state.
Sunday's high was 64 degrees at the Salt Lake International Airport. Monday and Tuesday the temperature will be near 70 or higher. Low temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday mornings will be in the low to mid-40s in most areas along the Wasatch Front.
By Wednesday and throughout the rest of the week, highs will be in the mid- or upper 70s.
And in southern Utah the temperature will be be warmer than that.
