Students from Price, Castle Dale and Stansbury Park will take control of student government at the College of Eastern Utah for the 1989-90 school year.

Brad Gwyther was elected president of the Associated Students of CEU, while Kristie Eliason was voted in as vice president of activities. J.D. Conover won the race for vice president of academics.Gwyther, a 1988 graduate of Carbon High School, is a premed student at CEU. In addition to student government, Gwyther will remain active in the theater, dance and cheerleading programs at the college. He is also the delegate chairman of the Utah Intercollegiate Assembly.

Eliason is a native of Stansbury Park and a 1988 graduate of Tooele High school. She is studying communications at CEU. Conover, a native of Castle Dale, also majors in communications.

The three will be sworn in during ceremonies in late May by departing officers, Calvin Johnson, Lee Mathie and Shawndra Jensen.
