A "repentant" robber who took money from a shop at University Mall remembered to empty his hands but not his pockets.
At 2 p.m. Thursday, an employee left Portrait Terminal unattended for a moment, and a man took a cash bag and some loose money from the till - totaling $366. When the clerk from a nearby business confronted the man, he handed her the cash bag and ran.Orem Police officers on duty at the mall took Terry Alex Williams, 25, Nashville, Tenn., into custody, and he was charged with third degree felony theft. Upon conviction, a third degree felony is punishable with as much as five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. In lieu of posting $5,000 bail, Williams is in the Utah County Jail awaiting his as yet unscheduled Fourth Circuit Court preliminary hearing.
