If New Jersey is a state of mind, Bon Jovi lives there.
Back in 1983, five guys picked up guitars and formed the group. Now Bon Jovi's bringing New Jersey to Salt Lake City again. On May 2, 7:30 p.m. at the Salt Palace, the band will be appearing with Skid Row.Though Jon Bon Jovi - the driving force behind the band - wrote the song "Runaway" in 1982, it wasn't until 1984 that his group cut an album. "Runaway" and "She Don't Know Me" received major airplay.
In 1985 the group released "7800 Fahrenheit," which featured three singles that would eventually find their way to the charts.
"Slippery When Wet," put out in 1986, became the No. 1 album in America.
Now comes "New Jersey."
