The Utah Small Business Development Center will hold two seminars in May stressing management training for small business managers.

On May 11 at 7 p.m. in Parlor A of the University of Utah Union, Richard G. Jensen, former Utah state auditor, will speak on the subject "Don't Let New Tax Law Sink Your Business," dealing with benefits legislation. A new bill affects all benefit plans effective last January and includes small business.Besides being the former state auditor, Jensen is a certified public accountant and serves as the chief financial officer of several companies. He has worked for a national CPA firm, two local CPA firms and has an accounting degree from Brigham Young University.

On May 24 at 7 p.m. in Room 109 of the U. Behavioral Science Building, two certified financial planners will talk on the subject "Coordinating Your Business and Personal Finances." The speakers will be Judith P. Martin and Michael A. Graff, both employees with Waddell and Reed.

Co-sponsors of the seminars are the Small Business Administration, Utah Department of Community and Economic Development and the Valley West Area Chamber of Commerce.
