Salt Lake police are seeking three people who held up a west-side convenience store and took money, food stamps and cigarettes.

A teenage male and a teenage female entered the Corner Mart, 950 W. 10th North, went to the back cooler and took out four 12-packs of beer, according to a police report. The clerk went behind the counter to ring up the sale when the male, wearing surgical gloves, pulled a large revolver and told him to put up his hands, the report said.

The female bandit reached behind the counter, pushed the proper button and opened the drawer. Less than $100 was taken along with some checks and food stamps and two cartons of cigarettes.

The bandits, who had a male accomplice pacing outside the store during the 12:52 a.m. Tuesday robbery, dropped the beer on the way out, the report said.
