An Orem man remains in critical condition and a 16-year-old boy in serious condition following an accident earlier this week at 272 W. Center St.

James Widdop, 69, is in the intensive-care unit at Orem Community Hospital with fractured ribs and chest injuries. Brad Coleman, 16, remains in the cardiac care unit at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center with fractures to his legs, facial lacerations and eye injuries.A major cut from Coleman's right ear to chin required plastic surgery after the accident, which occurred at 11:23 a.m. Tuesday, said Gerald Nielsen, Orem Public Safety spokesman.

Coleman had to be cut free from the car after it had caved in on his legs. He was a passenger in a car driven by Torsten Primas, 16, Orem. Primas was treated at Orem Community Hospital and released.

Nielsen said Primas' westbound car and Widdop's truck collided while Primas was passing another car.
