The Job Training Partnership Act Summer Youth Development Program, to begin on June 12, will offer over 600 jobs for eligible young people in Utah, Summit and Wasatch counties.
Program coordinator Curt Stewart said the work will include clerical and maintenance positions, outdoor jobs in area parks, and training as hospital laboratory technicians.
Students interested in the program should visit the Career Guidance Center, 60 N. Third West, Provo, to see if they qualify for the program, or call 377-7476. Residents of Summit and Wasatch counties can contact the Heber Job Service office, 90 North Valley Square No. 4, Heber City, phone 654-0360.
It is important to sign up right away; jobs are on a first-come first-served basis, Stewart said.
