The Bureau of Land Management will offer wild horses for private adoption May 14 at an auction company location south of Richfield.
Adoption proceedings will begin at 8 a.m. at the Richfield Auction Co. about three miles south of Richfield near the Monroe Junction of U.S. 89.The horses have been examined, vaccinated and treated for worms.
An adoption fee of $125 per horse will be required. An individual can adopt a maximum of four horses.
Those who adopt wild horses must provide adequate food and shelter for the animals for a minimum of one year, after which titles to the horses will be provided.
