West Valley City leaders will plant a Constitution Grove on April 29.

The city's Bicentennial Celebration Committee led the effort to plant 13 trees to commemorate the original colonies.West Valley Mayor Brent F. Anderson will dedicate the grove, and Miriam Farnsworth, chairwoman of the bicentennial committee, will plant the final tree. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. and will feature a flag ceremony and the Pledge of Allegiance directed by the West Valley Army Recruiting Color Guard. City Councilwoman Janice Fisher will present a plaque.

The Constitutional Grove will be located in the southeast corner of the West Valley Park, 4400 W. 35th South.
