The Utah Endowment for the Humanities, along with humanities councils from Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Wyoming, will benefit from a $158,319 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, to undertake a regional project, "Trails Through Time," an exhibition and speaker service.

The grant will make possible construction and circulation of three traveling exhibits, and speaker programs and symposia focusing on the historical trails through the region - natural features of the Rocky Mountain landscape that influenced the choices of overland routes, and interactions between different cultural and ethnic groups as they encountered one another on the trails.
