Parents and children are invited to attend a discussion of the children's novel, "Night of the Twisters," at the Davis County North Branch Library on April 26.

The discussion of the book, written by Salt Lake author Ivy Ruckman, is the second in a series of reading events designed to be a shared, book-centered experience for parents and children. The discussion will begin at 7 p.m. at the library, 562 S. 10th East, Clearfield.Copies of the book can be picked up at the North Branch Library. The discussion of the book will be led by Marilou Sorenson, a professor of education at the University of Utah and a reviewer of children's books for the Deseret News.

Other programs remaining in this series include: a discussion of Kenneth Grahame's classic, "The Wind in the Willows," at 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, at the South Branch Library in Bountiful; and a talk by Margaret Rostkowski about her book "After the Dancing Days," the place of war in children's literature, at the Central Branch Library in Layton at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24.
