A well-rested Salt Lake Golden Eagle team will take to the ice for the first time in 11 days on Wednesday to begin a best-of-seven International Hockey League semifinal playoff series with the Milwaukee Admirals.
Game time is 7 p.m. in the Salt Palace. The two teams will meet again in the Salt Palace on Friday.The defending Turner Cup champion Eagles swept their quarterfinal playoff against Denver, 4-0, and then had to await the outcome of the Milwaukee-Kalamazoo series. The Admirals won the playoff 4-2, defeating the Wings 5-3 April 22 in game six.
Games Three and Four in the Eagles-Admirals playoff will be Saturday and May 2 in Milwaukee. Salt Lake and Milwaukee finished 1-2 in the IHL West Division regular-season standings, with the Eagles just 3 points ahead of the Admirals.
