"Visions of the Future-Where Are You?" will be the title of the keynote address by Glenn G. McMillen, immediate past president of the National Funeral Directors Association at the group's annual convention April 25-26 at the Marriott Hotel.
McMillen will discuss his view that "the trend toward conservatism in this country is reflected in the increase in traditionalism in funeral service. There appears to be a movement toward more emphasis on ceremony as opposed to mere disposition of the body."The association is the largest professional funeral service organization in the world and includes 48 state funeral service associations representing nearly 15,000 funeral directors.
