Dallen Miner, a 23-year-old junior from Provo, was elected president of the Associated Students of Utah State University in elections this week.

Miner, a liberal arts major, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. James O. Miner, Provo.He defeated Jeff Bryner, Logan, and will succeed Michelle Henrie, Salt Lake, this year's student president.

Miner has been on the President's Leadership Council, president of Professional Business Leaders and of the Latter-day Saints Student Association, vice president of Blue Key National Honor Fraternity and chairman of an activities committee for last year's Centennial Homecoming Committee.
