April 30 is the deadline for nominations for the first Governor's Award for Innovative Corporate Excellence, established by Gov. Norm Bangerter and the Governor's Black Advisory Council.

Nomination forms can be obtained from Betty Sawyer in the Office of Black Affairs, 6234 State Office Building.The 1989 award will highlight companies making exemplary efforts in training and promotion of minorities and woman and innovative corporate-sponsored child-care programs. Awards will be made in the equal opportunity employment practices, child-care benefits practices, community involvement and master achievement categories.
