A series of lectures, films and cultural events has been scheduled through the rest of April, which has been declared Utah Soviet Awareness Month:

- April 21, a Soviet lecture/film series titled "The Soviet Union - An Epic Land" is scheduled in room 207 of Old Main at Utah State University. Call 750-1219 for time and admission.- April 22, a cultural festival and potluck dinner will feature music, dancing and food. Central City Community Center, 615 S. Third East. Admission is free.

- April 19, a film festival in the Arts and Architecture Building Fine Arts Auditorium at the U. will feature "Ten Days That Shook The World" at 7:30 p.m. The film, produced by Orson Welles, depicts the revolution of 1917. On April 26, "Fifty Years of U.S.-USSR Relations, 1934-1984" will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Admission to both films is free.

- April 25 at 10 a.m., Utah Symphony Concert, "Common Ground, Music and World Peace," has been sold out.

- A photo exhibit, "Impressions of America", by Soviet photographer Jan Tikhonov, will continue at the ZCMI Center Mall until April 21.

The events continue into May with a Russian Food Festival featuring music, dancing, crafts May 13, 7 p.m., at the Hellenic Cultural Center at Third South and Third West. Admission is $10.
