An armed robber took an undetermined amount of cash from a Woods Cross fast-food restaurant about 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, escaping in an older-model pickup truck, according to Woods Cross Police Chief Niles Stahle.

The chief said the man entered the Hardee's restaurant at 2600 S. U.S. Highway 89 and pulled a long-barreled revolver. The employees reported he had been in the restaurant several times earlier in the day and waited for the customers to leave before robbing it.The robber cleaned out the cash registers and walked to a truck parked nearby, described as an older-model, dark blue or black pickup truck with plywood sides, the chief said. No shots were fired and no one was injured in the robbery.
