Fishlake National Forest officials are considering a land swap for 160 acres that has become available since the forest plan was prepared.
The property is privately owned and is in the Three Creeks drainage on the south end of Pahvant Mountain. It would be traded for a larger area south of the Pahvant Guard Station that has been identified for disposal in the forest plan.Forest spokesman Larry Theivagt said the forest plan will be amended after May 1 if the exchange is approved. Parties will also be notified of appeal rights.
