The Layton High School automotive department will sponsor an automotive technology show at Layton Hills Mall April 28-29.

The show will highlight student development within the automotive field using the latest technology and include the "Black Magic" monster truck at center court.The theme will be "Practicing Tomorrow's Technology Today" and demonstrate how students are learning to service vehicles being produced now and in the future.

The department will also display a 1989 1.6 liter transverse quad engine produced at General Motor's Saturn plant. The school won the engine in the Weber State-Buick Automotive contest.
