The Utah Board of Water Resources has approved a $247,000 loan to the town of Clarkston to help the Cache County community upgrade its culinary water system.

The money is from the board's Cities Water Loan Fund. It will help Clarkston pay for a 350,000 gallon water storage reservoir and replace 9,600 feet of pipeline.Clarkston will have 15 years to repay the state loan. The community will fund the remaining $51,000 cost.
