Customs inspectors in Miami seized one of the few Eastern jets still flying and fined the strike-crippled airline $1.2 million after finding 75 pounds of cocaine in a mail bag in the cargo hold. The Boeing 727 confiscated on Monday was the 14th Eastern jetliner seized since September for transporting the drug into the country. The fine is in addition to nearly $3 million owed from previous drug-related violations.
