Four masked assailants Tuesday killed a Palestinian woman in the occupied West Bank, claiming she collaborated with Israel, Arab reports said. Fifteen Palestinians were reported wounded in clashes with soldiers.

The West Bank and the occupied Gaza Strip were virtually shut down by a general strike called to protest the army's alleged use of confiscated Arab-owned cars to make surprise raids on Palestinian villages. Two Israeli newspapers reported the army was investigating slogans found on walls in the Gaza Strip in recent days calling on Arabs to "gather firearms" for renewed revolt against Israel.
