A seminar on environmental hazards and how to protect yourself and your business will be sponsored April 27 at 8:30 a.m. by the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce at their offices, 175 E. Fourth South.

Speakers will be Earl H. Hess, founder and president of Lancaster Laboratories in Pennsylvania and president of Mountain State Analytical in Salt Lake City, and Dr. Robert A. Arnott, president of ERM-Rocky Mountain Inc., an environmental consulting company.Also appearing will be Frank L. Dorman, asbestos abatement specialist, and Lewis T. Stevens, a lawyer and partner in the law firm of Van Wagoner and Stevens.

Rhodes said the seminar will target legal implications regarding hazardous conditions as they relate to property; what protective action to take to avoid legal problems; how to find the right contractor to remove hazardous wastes or asbestos; and environmental/technical aspects of completing property assessments.
