Angela Lansbury, a veteran of Broadway and currently the star of the TV series "Murder, She Wrote," will host this year's 43rd annual Tony Awards special for CBS June 4.

Returning also will be producers Don Mischer, David J. Goldberg and director Walter Miller, the team that won the 1987 Emmy for outstanding variety special of the year.The Tonys, which honor excellence in the American theater, are a joint venture of the American Theater Wing and the League of American Theaters and Producers. Nominees in 19 categories will be announced May 8.
