Two people remained hospitalized Friday after their car was hit almost head-on at 103rd S. Redwood Road Thursday evening.

South Jordan police Sgt. Lindsay Shepherd said James H. and Kathy Chance, both of West Jordan, were traveling north on Redwood road when their car collided with a southbound car at about 10:40 p.m.The Chances were taken by helicopter to LDS Hospital. James Chance was in critical condition in the shock trauma unit Friday night, and Kathy Chance was in fair and stable condition, a nursing supervisor said.

The driver of the second car, Robin W. Martinez, West Jordan, and William Moore, Sandy, were treated at Holy Cross Jordan Valley Hospital and later released.

Shepherd said the accident is still under investigation.
