A Provo man who was shot in the eye during an altercation last weekend died Friday afternoon at LDS Hospital, a nursing supervisor said.
Grant Glover, 22, was shot in the right eye about 2:30 a.m. Sunday outside a restaurant at 177 E. Second South. He underwent surgery Monday to have the bullet removed and remained in critical condition until his death.Prosecutors have charged Mark Harrison, 19, with attempted criminal homicide. Lt. Norm Thompson said earlier this week that if Glover died, detectives would seek to amend the charge to homicide.
Harrison, a former Job Corps student, had been living in a Salt Lake apartment and working at a downtown hotel. He remains in the Salt Lake County Jail.
