Two Weber County residents will be honored May 13 when the Weber County Heritage Foundation and the Ogden Landmarks Commission present their annual preservation award.
The 1988 Achievement Award will be presented to Lanie Prout and William Terry at 4 p.m. at 272 25th Street, said Jareta Coyle, spokeswoman for the Heritage Foundation.Prout is being recognized for her research into historical buildings. Terry is the author of "Weber County is Worth Knowing."
Guest speaker at the award ceremony will be Lisbeth Henning, of San Francisco. The public is invited to attend.
Also scheduled is individual recognition for building preservation in Ogden.
Boyd and Debby Layne will be honored for renovating the Charles W. Cross home, Margaret Hunter for the Great Wall Restauraunt, and the Kier Corp. for its remodeling of the Perry Apartments and the Revelle Apartments.
