Second District Judge David Roth declared a mistrial Thursday in a rape case against an Ogden man charged with sexually assaulting a women in a tavern restroom.

After a prosecution witness mentioned the suspect, Randy Bickmore, had taken a polygraph test, the Weber County Attorney's office asked Roth to order a mistrial. The judge granted the motion and scheduled a second trial for July 17.Bickmore is charged with raping the victim April 2, 1988, in the women's restroom at the tavern. Defense attorneys have claimed the woman had been drinking and was a willing participant.
