An arrest has been made in connection with a case in which a woman sent door-to-door last December pleading for money to help her sick child, police said in a press conference.

Lisa Sykes, no age or address given, was charged with two counts of obtaining money under a false pretense, according to a Salt Lake Police news release.Authorities from Bountiful to Kearns had received reports of a woman who canvassed neighborhoods during Christmas season, asking for money to purchase medication for her sick child. Many people gave her donations, but authorities believe she did not have a sick child.
