A pleasant Grove man, whose in-home marijuana operation was characterized as a drug farm by law enforcement officers, has been found guilty of three drug-related felony charges.
Robert Dean Phelps, 49, 101 E. Seventh South, was found guilty of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, cultivation of marijuana and a drug tax-stamp violation, all third-degree felonies. Phelps was found not guilty of a fourth charge, theft of services, a second-degree felony.Phelps originally requested that a jury hear his case, but later waived the right and allowed Judge Cullen Y. Christensen to rule.
A third-degree felony is punishable by zero to five years in prison and a maximum fine of $5,000. Phelps is scheduled to be sentenced Friday.
