The grandson of former University of Texas football coach Darrell Royal was arrested on felony theft charges after police searched the man's home and recovered a valuable page of notes handwritten by Albert Einstein that were stolen from a UT library.

Samuel K. Royal, 18, was to be released Monday from the Travis County Jail on $5,000 personal recognizance bond following his arrest Wednesday night at an Austin apartment.The stolen document was found inside a photograph album in the teenager's home Tuesday night by UT police Sgt. Jimmy Moore and Lt. Alan Sanderson and Sgt. Tex Martin of the district attorney's office.

Jail officials said the youth also had two outstanding traffic warrants, one for driving without a license and one for speeding.

Royal is the grandson of Darrell Royal, who coached the Longhorn football team from 1957 to 1976 and is now a special assistant to UT President William Cunningham.
