MARCOS SERVICE

FORMER PHILIPPINE PRESIDENT FERDINAND MARCOS JOINED HIS FAMILY AND HUNDREDS OF SUPPORTERS SUNDAY AT HIS EXILE HAWAII HOME IN A MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR HIS LATE MOTHER. THE FAMILY HELD THE SERVICE IN HONOLULU BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT OF CORAZON AQUINO HAS REFUSED MARCOS PERMISSION TO RETURN TO THE PHILIPPINES FOR HER FUNERAL. "THERE ARE NO MORE TEARS; THE EYES ARE NOT ONLY DRY, BUT MY BODY IS DRAINED OF EMOTION," MARCOS TOLD SUPPORTERS AFTER THE SERVICE FOR DONA JOSEFA EDRALIN MARCOS, WHO DIED MAY 4 AT THE AGE OF 95.
