The University of Utah football team ended its first week of spring practice with an intra-squad scrimmage and Ute head coach Jim Fassel was pleased with the outcome.
"I was happy with the way the scrimmage went," said Fassel. "It was pretty well what I expected. I was pleased with the intensity that both the offense and the defense showed."The Utes got some good offensive production from running backs Clifton Smith and Jason Wood. Both broke several long runs and Wood caught a long pass.
The Utes continue spring practice for the next three weeks.
The annual spring game is set for Saturday, April 29th at 2 p.m.
