Snowbird went after a world record Thursday and made it. Papers were signed, officially notarized and sent off to the Guinness officials for placement in the record books. The goal was to get 100 skiers to each ski the equivalent of Mount Everest in a single day, which would then set the record for the most vertical feet skied in a single day. Final count showed 114 made the required runs. A complete report along with a Lee Benson column on the event will appear in the Saturday morning Deseret News.
