Tenor Theodore J.W. Christensen will sing a recital on Monday at 7 p.m., in the Peterson Library, 94th South and Seventh East. The public is welcome at no charge to his program of show tunes, old favorites and sacred music, with Kathryn Dunn as accompanist.
Christensen, 85, has been singing ever since his childhood. He emigrated from his native Copenhagen to South Dakota with his family as a baby, then moved to Winnipeg, Canada. He studied in Chicago, and came to Utah in 1941. He graduated from Brigham Young University after 17 years of night classes. He has appeared extensively as a soloist in Utah, while making his living as a postman.
