Small and mid-size companies in the medical, pollution control, analytical and scientific instrumentation industries interested in exporting to South Korea and Taiwan can join a trade delegation to those two countries July 10-14.
The trip is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Small Business Administration. To qualify for the program, participants must be new to exporting to those two countries, must send a company decision-maker with the delegation, must sell products or services at least 51 percent made in the U.S. and pay a participation fee.
The fee is $1,500 and the first 10 to sign up each will receive $500 from SBA. Interpreters are provided.
Delegation members will have briefings and one-on-one meetings with potential agents, distributors, joint venture and licensee partners. The contacts are prescreened and tailored to the company's market penetration strategy, local SBA officials said.
Only 25 companies from across the U.S. will be selected and more information can be obtained from Steve Price in the Salt Lake SBA office, 524-3222.
