An April 5 sentencing date has been set for a Wendover man who was found guilty of eight charges of cattle theft. A pre-sentence report by the Utah Corrections Division was ordered.

Edward Ross Lindsey, 57, was found guilty on eight charges of cattle theft following two days of trial and four hours of jury deliberation.He was convicted of stealing eight cows from the Cross/S Ranch, owned by A.C. Ekker, Hanksville, Wayne County.

An attempt was made to sell the animals at a Spanish Fork auction where it was discovered they didn't belong to the seller.
