The Rev. Kenneth Howard Tuttle, 78, pastor of the Central Christian Church from 1961 to 1965, died April 2, 1989, of natural causes in a Salt Lake nursing home.

He was a pastor of Christian churches throughout the United States for more than 40 years and was a member of the Kiwanis Club, from which he received a 30-year pin for perfect attendance.The Rev. Tuttle received bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees from Drake University and continuing education from the University of Southern California.

An active Mason, he was a member and chaplain of Argenta Lodge No. 3, Free and Accepted Masons, and of Scottish Rite Bodies, El Kalah Temple of the Shrine, Lynds Chapter No. 1, Order of the Eastern Star.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Central Christian Church, 370 S. Third East, where friends may call one hour before services. Contributions may be made to the Intermountain Unit of Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children or Central Christian Church. Burial in Wasatch Lawn Mortuary under direction of Evans & Early Mortuary.
