Gov. Norm Bangerter has declared April "Child Abuse Prevention Month."
Tia Davis, executive director of the Utah Chapter for the Prevention of Child Abuse, said the group's goal is to increase awareness of child abuse prevention strategies."Child abuse does happen - even in Utah," she said. "Our group strives to educate citizens about child abuse and how they can help. We appreciate the governor's support."
