The Seibu Corp., Japan's largest department store, and All Nippon Airways, the airline that brought hundreds of Japanese skiers to Utah last winter, will bring more than 200 Japanese skiers, celebrities and news reporters to Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort April 4-8.

Snowbird officials said the combined effort is a good example of the positive tourism exchanges between Utah and Japan. Included in the group will be Yuicira Muria, the first man to ski down Mount Everest and a member of Snowbird owner Dick Bass' climbing expedition in Antarctica. While at Snowbird, the Japanese group will shoot a one-hour documentary that will be shown on Japanese television next autumn. The intent of the film is to continue promoting Utah ski packages among the Japanese.
